What is Google Assistant and how it can be useful to you?

According to Google, Google Assistant will eventually become easier to use. Just a few days after the company announced that virtual assistants could now be used with more than 5,000 devices, Google said that the assistants would not only sound more natural, but they could also talk to them. Google announced some new features for its assistance in its Google I / O keynote. The company calls its new conversational feature "continuous conversation." It looks a bit creepy because Google says the assistant knows when you are talking to it and responds accordingly. For some people, this may seem like Google is always listening after you say the wake-up words. For others, the ability to talk to a Google Assistant is more like talking to someone, which makes the tool easier to use and therefore more useful. This update also shows that the more useful virtual assistants become more and more private.

In addition to this new session feature, Google is still updating the way the assistant sounds. Basically, due to some updated artificial intelligence, the assistant should now sound like a robot. Google has also added six new voices, and for some reason, John Legend's voice will also be included in the assistant "in some cases" later this year. In addition to this, the assistant will soon try to teach the children how to politely interact with the new opt-in feature called "beautiful please." This means that if you ask the assistant to do something well, the assistant will answer politely. Courtesy is essential even when talking to machines. While these features aren't necessarily new, Ok Google shows some of the assistant's visual features, such as seeing a dial pad when you ask to adjust a smart thermometer or see a picture while conducting a voice search. The visual assistant will also be integrated into Google Maps. Many of these updates were announced earlier this year and some have been implemented.

Finally, Google showed us the strange but future robocall feature of an assistant still under development. It is called Duplex. The company showed a demo where the Google assistant called and talked to someone at the other end of the line to complete basic things like booking a hair or a restaurant reservation. Google did not disclose when these new robocall features will be available, but the company said that other assistant updates will be available in the coming weeks.
